ANSEL ADAMS
Ansel Adams, born February of 1902 in California, was very focused on music in his early youth. He started to play piano at age 12, long before he started his photography career. His father had him take piano lessons with an instructor who strongly focused on accuracy, and perfection. He did not get into photography until he was in his early twenties. Ansel Adams' photo, Monolith, The Face of Half Dome was created in 1927 when one day he was out hiking with his friends and fiance, Virginia . He spent all day hiking up the mountain with them, and when they got to a point of view of Half Dome, it was in full shadow. He set up and composed his image -- the mountain was a "wondrous place". I chose this picture because I like the contrast set up with the shadows in the background and the bottom of the photo. It draws the eye of the viewers to the doorway.

Favorite Panoramics
These two photos are the most interesting to me because It's cool to
see a large portion of something crammed all in one single picture.

Face Story
Peter Chain is an old grouch. He lives his sad, pathetic life in a dark and dirty machine shop. His family left him to rot when he started working for the firm. His wife, Jane Chain lives in a clean, well kept garage a couple towns over. Peter has a great past and he seems to think the best of the times where he was young and jobless, because he had no worries or responsibilities. When Peter was in high school, he would go down to the body shop with his buddies and tinker around with broken motors. His hidden talent is that Peter can fix anything with a chain, whether it be a motor or a tank!
